What is Prairie Connections?
Prairie Connections is an integrated learning experience involving live
interactive video field trips, a Teacher's Guide,
a supporting web site, action project ideas for classroom projects,
and opportunities to network with other schools. Prairie Connections
will focus on issues that correspond with national science and social
studies content standards for grades 5 through 12.
About Prairie Connections
An exciting feature of this year's live interactive field trips is that
we will visit two Iowa locations during each session. Experts will be
stationed at Walnut Creek National Wildlife Refuge, near Prairie City,
and on the banks of the Raccoon River at Hanging Rock, in Redfield -
about 50 miles apart.
